PROJECTS NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2001 Shipped over 20,000 text books for students. Established a credit union for the market women of Maryland County that provides low interest
micro-loans to empower them and increase their ability to establish new businesses or strengthen existing ones. 2002 Shipped 14 hospital beds and medical supplies for the JJ Dossen Memorial Hospital, and
clothing for the people of Maryland. 2003 Assisted Maryland County women in Monrovia with $700.00 for their dues payment to the Southeastern
Women’s Association, and the filing of articles of incorporation. Sent two mobile phones to refugees who fled to Cote D’Ivoire, enabling them
to connect with family members abroad. Established an NGO status for MFP’s community funding programs that will help raise
money for sectoral development. 2004 Registered
as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the Liberian Government. 2005 Purchased and shipped a 6.5 K VA diesel generator and water pumps for the JJ Dossen Memorial
Hospital ‘s water reservoirs. Shipped clothing, children books and toys to Maryland County women residing in Monrovia. 2006 Shipped
medical supplies for clinics in Pleebo and raised funds for the Maryland County Education Fund scholarship program. The J.J. Dossen Memorial Hospital  The J. J. Dossen Hospital in Maryland County, Liberia, is
the only hospital in southeastern Liberia. The 14 years of civil war has left this facility in ruins. Marylanders for Progress
has launched a health project in the county to improve conditions and services at J. J. Dossen. Please support MFP's
efforts to revive this hospial.
